Cooking Tips for Marry Me Chicken in Slow Cooker
Consider using boneless chicken thighs instead of breasts. Thighs are juicier and have more flavour than breasts, and they also hold up better to the longer cooking time in a slow cooker.
Use good quality meat for the best result. Look for chicken that is organic or free-range, and avoid chicken that has been injected with water or additives.
If using frozen chicken, reduce amount of stock by 50ml.
Merry Me Chicken goes perfectly with Red wine like Merlot and Pinot Noir or White Chardonnay.
