gooey consistency.

What equipment is needed to bake super Gooey Chocolate Brownie?

To bake the recipe I recommend 25x20cm, 8x10inch tin like this one.

Ingredients for Chocolate Brownie

  • 3 large eggs (use organic for the best result)

  • 150g (5.3oz) caster sugar

  • 150g (5.3oz) brown sugar

  • 170g (6oz) butter

  • 100g (3.5oz) plain flour (gluten-free flour mix can also be used)

  • 120g (4.2oz) cocoa powder or dark chocolate (or a mixture of both, such as 60g cocoa and 60g chocolate)

  • A tiny pinch of salt

  • Optional: 1 tsp vanilla bean paste or extract

How to prepare Chocolate Brownie

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).

2. Melt the butter in a small pan, then add the dark chocolate and whisk until fully melted.

3. In a bowl, mix together the eggs, vanilla extract, white sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.

4. Add the melted butter and chocolate to the bowl and mix until fully incorporated.

5. Sift in the plain flour and cocoa powder, and add a pinch of salt. Mix until the dry ingredients are fully incorporated into the batter.

6. Line a baking tin or tray (25x20cm or 8x10inch) with baking parchment, and pour the batter in. Use a spatula to spread the batter evenly.

7. Bake the brownies for 15 minutes.

8. Remove the brownies from the oven and leave them uncovered to cool completely before indulging. Enjoy!

Tips for baking Chocolate Brownie

  • Use good quality chocolate - The taste of your brownies will largely depend on the quality of chocolate you use. Choose high-quality chocolate with a high percentage of cocoa solids to give your brownies a rich, intense flavour.

  • Use room temperature eggs - When making brownies, it's important to use room temperature eggs as they will mix more easily into the batter and help create a lighter, fluffier texture.

  • Don't overmix the batter - Overmixing the batter can result in tough, dense brownies. Mix the ingredients until just combined, and avoid overmixing.

  • Line your baking tin - To make it easier to remove the brownies from the baking tin, line it with parchment paper before pouring in the batter.

  • Add your own twist - While this recipe is delicious as is, feel free to add your own twist by mixing in chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or dried fruit to the batter.

  • Let the brownies cool completely - It can be tempting to dig into the brownies as soon as they come out of the oven, but it's important to let them cool completely before cutting and serving. This will help the brownies set properly and prevent them from crumbling.

  • Store properly - Once cooled, store your brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the fridge for up to a week. You can also freeze the brownies for up to 2 months, just be sure to wrap them tightly in plastic wrap before freezing.
